Class Requirements & Fee

This class includes a complete NM state-approved Driver's Ed course for the selected dates, covering 56 hours of classroom instruction. Students must be at least 15 years old before the last day of class.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at registration to hold the seat, with the remaining balance due by the end of the first week. If there is no deposit, the seat is not guaranteed. If a student has medical requirements, appropriate documentation from a medical doctor must be provided prior to registration.

The fee includes all necessary requirements for passing driver's education. Checks are not accepted. Square fees may apply.

Attendance & Reschedule Policy

Students must attend all 56 hours of classroom instruction. Missed hours must be rescheduled in another class. Failure to complete required hours will result in no certificate of completion, which is necessary for obtaining a provisional license. It is the student's responsibility to notify the instructor of an absence and arrange makeup hours.

Refund Policy

No refunds are permitted. Students will be charged a $40 cancellation fee if a MVD exam is canceled without a 48-hour notice. A valid permit is required for the MVD Road Exam. Failure to present a permit or missing the exam will result in a $40 fee.

Winter Weather Driving Waiver

Driving instruction continues during winter unless road conditions are unsafe. By registering, you acknowledge and permit the student to drive in winter conditions.

Driving Partner Waiver

There may be times when a student drives alone with an instructor (e.g., drop-off at a different location, other students missing their lesson). By registering, you acknowledge and permit this when necessary.

Marketing Release

By registering, you grant AMC Driving School rights to record, edit, and distribute any audio, video, or photographic content involving the student. No compensation will be provided.

Classroom Rules

• Students must bring a pen/pencil and notebook to class.
• Cell phones must be put away except for emergencies.
• Misbehavior, failure to adhere to list of rules, or repeated unexcused absences will result in dismissal without a refund.
• Smoking, vaping, drugs, and alcohol are prohibited.
• Dress appropriately for both classroom and MVD Exams, including proper shoes for driving lessons.
• Damaging classroom furniture (e.g., writing on tables) will require the student to cover replacement costs.

Friendly Reminder

Students with a 6-month permit must be supervised by someone 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
